As a collaborative landscape architecture collective, we believe that Landscape Architecture influences positive change in our communities and promotes
restorative processes for our native habitats.

We specialize in habitat restoration, large-scale housing projects, public parks, cityscapes and high-end residential clientele. We work to integrate natural cycles and systems across all scales to ensure social and environmental harmony.

With the basis of our company being in permaculture and ecological restoration, we combine a high-end design sense with ecologically friendly practices. We aim to create award winning and restorative spaces that connect people to their immediate environment, preserve historic significance and create dynamic and adaptive landscapes of the future.

We are committed to working with clients who promote positive social and environmental impact. Braid.Work drives positive change for companies, communities and our environment.

We work with clients to ensure that design concept remains intact through the process of building public urban landscapes, we combine new technologies with tried and true construction techniques. We aim to create landscapes of lasting significance, reconnecting neighborhood infrastructure and habitats for generations to come.

Our staff is experienced in landscape architecture, graphic design, fine art, urban design, and planning, and we integrate these skillsets to practice design as
interpreters and synthetic thinkers. We lead and work with teams of engineers and architects on complex projects, from streetscapes to large river restoration projects, translating technical expertise into legible and engaging public space. We also believe in working with communities and stakeholders to translate complex visions into realizable actions.

Rita Manna

Owner / Director of Design

Rita is a Landscape Designer with 15 years of experience in the design, landscape and construction industries. She has achieved a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree, a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, a Permaculture Design certification, and have won numerous design, gardening and
community service-related awards over the years.

Rita has worked with diverse teams to create landscapes which are restorative, memorable, functional, and rejuvenating. She specializes in the creation of landscapes that seamlessly knit the urban fabric and our natural world to make truly remarkable spaces. With such a broad design background that focuses not
only on placemaking but also visual communication, she is able to effectively and efficiently communicate design ideas to a broad spectrum of clientele.

Derek Brandt

Landscape Architect

Derek’s work is inspired by the potential of the built landscape to promote a thriving healthy environment, with an eye for a naturalized place-based aesthetic. His background is a unique blend of the practical application of landscape care with an academic and research-based lens, to design and build functional & beautiful spaces at the intersection of humans and nature.

After completing an Environmental Studies degree from Naropa University in 2009, he started groundskeeping and received his Colorado Master Gardener through CSU Extension and Permaculture Design certificates in 2011 and 2012. He worked for numerous small residential landscaping companies before achieving a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Colorado Denver in 2016. During and after his graduate studies, Derek’s professional experience, with both nonprofit and private companies alike, expanded to collaborating with school districts to naturalize schoolyards with the The Big Sandbox of Denver and Philadelphia, and with Didier Design Studio of Fort Collins, designing larger than life children’s gardens at botanic gardens from the desert southwest to the tropical southeast. Before founding Habitat Guild in 2020, Derek was working with the National Wildlife Federation to build schoolyard habitats and naturalize outdoor learning environments at child care centers throughout Colorado.

Derek is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Colorado.

Bella Manzo

Landscape Designer

Bella is a landscape designer with a degree from the University of Colorado in Environmental Design and a minor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She is passionate about environmental justice and practical ecological design. Her previous work has focused on green schoolyards and community-oriented design.

Greg Gill, PLA

Landscape Architect

Greg is a Professional Landscape Architect with over 25 years of designing, installing and maintaining residential gardens and landscapes. He is passionate about helping his clients achieve a garden space they will love and enjoy for years.

Jonathan Fava

Director of Business Operations and Finance

Jonathan is a seasoned professional with extensive field and managerial experience in both landscape and construction. With a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specialized in finance, he has also had success in accounting and finance roles. His passion for landscape and the outdoors combined with his diverse experience gives him a comprehensive perspective of the landscape architecture field.

Felicia Wolters

Landscape Designer/Project Manager

Felicia is a seasoned horticulturalist with seven years of experience crafting landscapes through all phases of design and build. Driven by a deep appreciation for nature, Felicia draws on her roots to bring the beauty of the natural world into the heart of her designs. Her holistic and playful approach to landscape reflects not only her artistic sensibilities but also her commitment to ecological sustainability. She takes pride in her years of fieldwork, which not only informs her design decisions but also equips her with the skills to adeptly manage projects from conception to completion. From larger picture planning to meticulous garden details, she joyfully works at different scales, infusing ecological value by incorporating native plants and locally sourced materials. Grateful for her meaningful career, Felicia channels her passion for nature into curating harmonious spaces that reflect Colorado’s unique charm.
