Watson Equestrian is a small business which trains humans and horses to be the best version of themselves both in and out of the competition ring. Founded by Sarah Watson of Boulder, Colorado in 2009 she and her team are taking the Colorado circuit by storm.
For Watson Equestrian I created a brand identity package complete with logo and business cards. WIth this brand package Sarah has been able to transfer her identity onto all sorts of promotional materials. My personal favorite is the saddle pad! Check out her products (and fancy horses) below!
Since Sarah and I have known one another for a very long time (33 years to be exact!) I had a great understanding of her personality, her business and the general aesthetic that she wanted to portray. As a native to Connecticut, she is well dressed, highly organized and a little bit more professional than many of her competitors. Since she and her business are now based out of Colorado, I wanted to integrate a "wild west" feel into her english style business. I went with a basic typeface- Rosewood, which is quirky but commanding, bold but approachable, and has that western flare.
The color palette was one which Sarah had envisioned since she was a child. And I think she had a great eye. The colors fit perfectly in with her personality and the integration of East Coast & Colorado style equestrians.
